Quiet and Powerful — the Outisan e-Wagon Ultra Is a Camping MVP

Hi, I’m Hide — tech journalist and part-time house-husband. E-wagons just keep getting better.
I reviewed another brand’s e-wagon before, but its motor was so loud there was no way I could use it in town. The Outisan e-Wagon Ultra, though, is almost silent, and it can carry up to 100 kg and 500 L.

Seriously quiet
I really love that you can’t hear the motor. That means you can use it casually in town, or at amusement parks that allow wagons.

Uphill, downhill, or just walking, the assist is really smart. It matches your pace, so you forget about the weight — and even forget it’s electric. So comfortable.

With wagons before, I usually had to turn them around and hold back the weight myself going downhill, so not having to switch directions is great.

It carries a ton, and folding down the back lets you haul lots of gear in one go. That makes it easy to carry stuff to quiet, remote spots — not just auto-campsites.

Reversing is low-key super handy
Just hold the button by the handle and squeeze, and it goes in reverse. Other e-wagons I’d tried could only go forward, so I’d have to make a U-turn to back up. With the Outisan e-Wagon Ultra, reversing is easy.

Lots of options
There are plenty of options, like a net to keep cargo from falling out and drink holders.

If you live in a house or a tower apartment where you never have to lift it yourself, it won’t matter at all. But it weighs about 30 kg — heavy enough that even a grown man struggles — so loading it into a car trunk alone was tough.
Everything else is excellent, so I hope the next generation gets lighter. Then it’d be pretty much unbeatable.
Also, a canopy option would let you take kids around in summer, so I’d love to see more options next time.
E-wagons are a hot product lately, so I’ll keep researching and reviewing them.
