Pet Hair Made Easy! The Neakasa P0 Pro Lite Brings Salon-Level Grooming Home

Hi, I’m Hide — tech journalist and part-time house-husband. Here’s a must-see gadget for cat owners.
Dealing with your cat’s or dog’s shedding is surprisingly hard work, right? There are sprays, salons, all kinds of options — but with this, you can handle it all at home.

For my articles, I sometimes receive products on loan or as samples from companies, within the bounds of Yahoo! News’ rules. However, if a product doesn’t meet my standards for writing about it after actually using it, or if its downsides significantly outweigh its good points, I return it and don’t write about it. I don’t receive any payment from companies.
Quiet, and the hair doesn’t fly everywhere!

It comes with attachments for both dogs and cats, but I’ll focus on cats here. Short-haired cats especially (like British or American Shorthairs) aren’t the kind you take to a salon, yet they shed quite a bit at home.
So I’d like to groom ours every week or two, but simply brushing isn’t enough.
With cats, brushing sends the short hairs flying, so you need something like a foam grooming product.
But cats that aren’t used to getting wet often really hate it, and I bet plenty of owners have given up on brushing.
That’s where this Neakasa product comes in. At just 30–40 dB — so quiet you’ll wonder if it’s even on — you can brush dry and none of the hair flies off.

Use it for nails, coat, and even cleaning

The collected hair doesn’t tangle in the filter — it’s gathered cyclone-style, so you can dump it straight in the trash. Normally you’d be swapping filters over and over, so I was impressed by how well the design covers that.
The lowest suction setting is plenty

If I had to name one downside, it’s the size. It’s big compared to a regular brush, but considering how much it reduces grooming stress for both pet and owner, it’s a great product.
I’d especially recommend it to anyone with short-haired dogs or cats.
